Site and forum instructions are in English and most of the time I don't understand what they say.

I didn't think this would be such a big thing as it grew into. I didn't think I'd ever learn to design a "favicon" or realize you have to look with Mozilla and IE and Chrome because one of them can't see Webdings and turns them into something that makes what was a clean graphic into nonsense.

I went through pages and pages today deleting them. And reformatting hundreds of paragraphs of Code I already formatted.

I like this forum, though. I like the...

That's the first thing we are supposed to do, right?

Escriva was a lawyer. All Opus Dei heads have been lawyers. So, the laws and rules are lengthy, complex and a huge pain to try and organize. But all the answers lie there in plain view for htose willing to spend time figuring them out.

BUT - I think tomorrow, esp if it rains all day and I get glued in front of the screen, I will have them done. Enough to be useful, anyway.

Google sites are free. Which is a good thing. They are pretty easy to learn to work with to make it look okay and put up what you want people to see.

It's Google that doesn't work. Things like "webmaster tools" and "analytics" and all of that. These might make sense to someone who is a bit of an expert at websites, but a lot of the time the directions they give you don't make any sense.

I feel rather a fool. To make a quality, as much as possible for me, website, takes a LOT of time and learning and planning and far far longer than I thought.

But I decided I am in for the long haul, so, it will take as long as it takes. Meanwhile, this forum, that which I thought would be up and running two weeks ago, sits waiting. I see no reason to do anything half-well. I have more to learn. I'd better get back to work.

I have decided I have to "open" the website on June 1st even though it won't be that good, yet. Opening means I am going to tell the other Opus Dei sites it exists and ask them to link it, and link them and fix the sidebar, which right now I just use as a handy link set for myself.

I am thinking of buying a Weebly site and either making it an entrance page or transferring all the info over. But they won't display the Presentations, that means I have to make them all Utube videos, which doesn't work as well, or just post the screens one after another so...
